Superttoth Bluetooth...Not a bad device with only one real flaw :( : SuperTooth High Definition Bluetooth Portable Visor Car Kit and Speakerphone for Cell Phones, iPad 2, and iPhone Retail Packaging (Black)
I bought this bluetooth based upon the reviews of the other people and have to say I am really not disappointed. It works well, has good sound, easy volume adjust, small enough to clip on visor and not block your vision at all, and the large button makes it easy to answer/hang up calls.
Whether it is just my phone (Samsung Galaxy Vibrant) or I just have not found out how to program my bluetooth properly) what I find to be drawbacks are somewhat small, although annoying issues...
* There is no users manual (the website says it is forthcoming, but ???) Hence contributing to my problems :(
* In order to use the "voice call" you need to program your phone to have "contact 1" as somebody, "contact 2" as somebody, etc. Meaning you need to go to your contact list and enter a new contact by the name contact 1 or contact 2.
* To use the voice text system, you have to enroll in the program which gives you 3 months (?) free then charges you monthly. I don't know if this is normal as this is my first bluetooth device.
* My biggest problem though (the "real flaw" I mention in the title) is when I done using the bluetooth, the sound on my phone is longer functional. Even if you turn off the bluetooth setting, there is still no sound from the phone. I have to turn off my phone and then turn it back on. Again a small thing but annoying to do EVERY time.
Unlike many of the other reviewers, as I mentioned, this is my first bluetooth device (except for the "in the ear type") so I have nothing to compare it to, and some of the other reviewers provide EXCELLENT comparisons. I do find the device to be worth the money though. Again, the sound is very clear coming out of the dual speakers and you can control the volume easily. It connects easily to your cell phone (the little pamphlet that comes with it telling you how to connect to your phone is very easy to follow).
Overall I would probably give the device 3 1/2 stars but as you can't do the half I rounded up to 4. Again, worth the money and I am happy and will live with the "flaws".
